GULF SHORES, AL - The Gulf Coast Arts Alliance Art Market, aligned in partnership with the City of Gulf Shores, will be May 3 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. under the beautiful oaks of Meyer Park, 400 E. 22nd Ave. in GulfShores.
Approximately 50 local and regional artists will be displaying for sale their original works of art. Visitors will enjoy viewing oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, pottery, jewelry and carved wood.
There will be hands-on arts activities for children, live musical entertainment and delicious concessions.
One of the artists who will have his work on display is well-known caricature artist, Alonzo Bunch. Bunch lived most of his life in Atlanta working for an advertising agency, then as marketing manger for Rich’s Department Stores. He also worked, for fun, in downtown Atlanta sketching caricatures.
In 1999, Bunch retired and moved to the GulfCoast. He loves making people smile when he produces a caricature of them.
“If I can make somebody who doesn’t feel good about themselves smile and feel better, that’s made my day,” Bunch said. His caricatures have made many people who attend the GCAA Art Markets smile.
The Gulf Coast Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization with offices in the GCAA Gallery at 225 E. 24th Ave. in the beautiful Waterway Village of Gulf Shores.
