Although the City of Gulf Shores has cancelled their council work session for today, Orange Beach will be holding their regularly scheduled council meeting tomorrow at 5 P.M. in council chambers.
A request for a 12-month extension to the Pearl of the Gulf PUD will be voted on, as well as the approval of a requisition to purchase audio equipment for council chambers.
For several months, there have been issues with the sound system in council chambers and the ability to record the meetings. The new system will be purchased from Sound Associates of Theodore, AL, the company that installed the sound equipment at the Orange Beach Recreation Center.
Resolutions that will be voted on include reappointing City Attorney Wanda Cochran, as well as resolutions appointing members to the 2011 Employee Safety Committee and the Employee’s Leave Bank Committee.
In addition, the council will vote to execute the annual service and maintenance contract with Physio-Control, a company that provides equipment to the Orange Beach Fire and Rescue Department.
