Norman Emery Vinson, age 78, a native and resident of the White House Fork Community of Bay Minette, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at U.S.A. Medical Center.

He was warehouse superintendent for Autrey Greer and Sons. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Azalea Masonic Lodge #898. He is survived by his wife, Willa Grey (Nobles) Vinson of White House Fork; his children, Stanley C. (Shannon) Vinson of Ft. Payne, and Sherri L. (Billy) Burnett of Bay Minette; four sisters, Nora Walker of Orange Beach, Louise Crenshaw of Bay Minette, Cornelia Taylor of Bay Minette, and Thelma Blevins of Bay Minette; nine grandchildren, Gray Vinson, Brent Vinson, Blake Vinson, Justin Veal, Matthew McClain, Meagan Morgan, Catherine Morgan, Sheena Buxton and Summer Burnett; four great grandchildren, Aaron Vinson, Alli Vinson, Emmett Vinson and Aiden Morgan and a special caregiver, Kristy Green. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Fred Stallworth and Gerald Rider officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered at the graveside. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
