North Baldwin Center for Technology has graduation, awards ceremony

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The North Baldwin Center for Technology had its graduation ceremony May 10. In additional to recognizing its graduates, the school also honored students for their achievements in various fields of study.

The school serves students from Baldwin County High, Spanish Fort High and Daphne High schools.

Members of the National Technical Honor Society were presented cords and pins indicating their membership. They were: Blake Agerton, Jacob Barnett, Abigail Bruneau, Savannah Castrillo, Kayle Coleman, William Davis, Edgar Eleogo, Logan Ferrell, Jessica Frith, Ebony George, Sharnika Green, Tarnika Green, Cory Jerkins, Tyler Jones, Josh Kendrick, Thomas King, Cyshieka Knight, Amanda McDonald, Kalee Modispacher, Janie Moorer, Hayes Noel, Morgan Perez, Caitlyn Phillips, Alexandria Richerson, Niah Smith, Ariana Swan and Courtney Tyree.

Each course of study also recognized outstanding students and club members. Receiving Outstanding Student honors were: Jacob Barnett, Agriscience Academy; Tyler Hadley, automotive technology; Di’Angela Pope, building construction; Aidan Long, graphic design; Amanda McDonald, health science; Kaylah Tyree, HVACR Academy; Kayle’ Coleman, cosmetology; and Samuel Scott Powell, welding technology.

Outstanding Club Member honors went to: Heather Stroh, Agriscience Academy; Devin Bedsole, automotive technology; Vincent Lambeth, building construction; Courtney Steadham, graphic design; Savannah Castrillo, health science; and Hayes Noel, cosmetology.

Di’Angela Pope was also presented the Ricky Bell Award which recognizes the overall most outstanding student. She also received the Southeastern Construction Owners and Associations Roundtable Scholarship, valued at $1,000; and a $500 scholarship from the Alabama Homebuilders Association.

Jared Gill received a $10,000 scholarship to Jeff Davis Community College for welding. Peyton Lindsey was presented a $1,000 scholarship by the Baldwin County Homebuilders Association.

Faulkner State Community College also recognized students in its dual enrollment program who have earned enough credits to receive certification. These students are also eligible to participate in Faulkner’s graduation ceremony May 13. They are: Nicholas Allen, welding; Donald Bryant III, building; William Davis, building; Joshua Day, welding; Jared Gill, welding; Kyle Manzanilla, welding; Peyton Lindsey, building; Samuel Powell, welding; and Jacob Vegas, welding.

Located in Bay Minette, NBCT offers courses in agriscience, automotive technology, building construction, graphic design, health science, cosmetology, HVACR and welding.
