Tulsa Welding School held its annual welding competition Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Jacksonville campus. The competition draws students and future professional welders from across the nation to compete for scholarships, prizes and the opportunity to learn more about the growing field of professional welding.
The competition is open to High School Seniors who have taken a welding class in high school or at a vocational technical institute. Students were the given the task of assembling a weld from a blueprint.
Those competing from NBCT were Matt Woods and James Harbison, students of Josh Pierce, Welding Instructor. Each student received a $500 scholarship for their participation.
