BAY MINETTE, Alabama — After more than nine years, Ashley Jones Davis, executive director for the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, has submitted her letter of resignation to the Board of Directors for the Chamber and will be resigning her position with the organization effective Friday, July 16 to pursue other opportunities.

“I am grateful that the North Baldwin Chamber took a chance on me nine years ago and has allowed me to lead and manage this phenomenal organization,” Jones Davis said. “It is because of the Board of Directors’ belief in me and their support that I have been able to grow so much in my professional career and now have this opportunity before me.”

Jones Davis has been offered and will be accepting a position with JJPR in Daphne.

“Moving forward, and accepting this new opportunity is not a decision that I have made lightly; in fact, it has been one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make in my career,” she said. “The North Baldwin Chamber has given me so much over the years, and Bay Minette is and will remain my home.”

North Baldwin Chamber Chairman Tripp Ward, along with the Chamber Board of Directors, officially accepted the resignation on Thursday, June 24 during their regularly scheduled Board of Directors Meeting.

“Ashley has been a part of the Chamber Community for almost a decade,” Ward said. “While we will miss Ashley dearly, we are excited for her as she embarks on this new journey. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to the North Baldwin community and the City of Bay Minette is like no other, and for that, we are forever grateful.”

The Board of Directors wants to ensure the North Baldwin Chamber members and the community that they are committed to a smooth transition.

“I commit to work with the Board of Directors to ensure a smooth transition for the Chamber and the staff,” said Jones Davis. “My hope is that the work of the Chamber will continue down a path of prosperity and support for the members and the community.”

“We are actively conducting a search to find a new executive director,” Ward said. “During this transition period, it is our priority to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a stable and seamless transition for the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.”

Jones Davis, while stepping down from her position as executive director, plans to remain an active member of the North Baldwin community and engaged through volunteer and civic service.
