BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The North Baldwin Chamber Foundation is offering 30 chances to win a gun throughout the month of November. Tickets are $50 each and drawings will be held Nov. 1-30.
The prizes for the raffle drawing are 30 hunting rifles and shotguns and a winner will be drawn each day. A specific gun is assigned to each day of the drawing and a schedule of the guns to be drawn will be posted prior to the Nov. 1 drawing. Each ticket drawn will be re-entered into the raffle, giving the ticketholder 30 chances to win 30 guns.
There are 2,000 tickets available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the work of the Foundation which focuses on: Workforce Development & Education, Community & Economic Development, and Small Business Development.
The Foundation is a 501c3 and serves as the non-profit branch of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.
“The 30/30 Giveaway is the first major fundraiser for the organization and the Foundation Board is excited about the potential this fundraiser has to truly help them bring to life new programs and enhance existing programs,” said Ashley Jones, NBCC Executive Director. “The idea for the giveaway came during a committee meeting and it was a no brainer really …. It just makes sense that there would be an interest from any outdoorsman in our area, and the guns will be raffled off just as deer season is beginning.”
The Foundation is working with local businesses Outdoor Addiction and Walmart to acquire the firearms for the drawing.
Jones said the Foundation board and Chamber work together to bring about some much-needed programs for the north Baldwin area.
“The Foundation Board has worked in conjunction with the chamber on a few small projects in line with their mission such as the ‘Bay Minette in Bloom’ campaign for community development which offered businesses and individuals the opportunity to sponsor a hanging basket display in the downtown area. They have also assisted with the Junior Ambassador program and the Career Horizons expo at Baldwin County High.”
