BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is looking to add a creative flair to this year’s 33rd annual Christmas Festival by holding an art contest to select the official design. Christmas Fest will be held Dec. 11-12 in downtown Bay Minette.

Artists of all ages are invited submit designs for the art contest and the winning entry will be featured on the official Christmas Fest posters and T-shirts.

“Christmas Fest belongs to the community, and the art contest is a way for someone here in our community to capture the spirit of the festival and show it off through our posters, billboards and t-shirts,” said Ashley Jones, NBCC executive director. “All ages are welcome to participate, and we encourage artists to let their imagination run wild. It is always fun to see what we end up with.”

The winning artwork will become the property of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, with credit given to the winning artist. The deadline for submissions is Sept. 23 and there is a $10 entry fee. Cash prizes will be awarded: $100 for first place, $75 for second and $50 for third. The winning entries will also displayed and recognized during the annual festival.

The rules and requirements for submitting a design include: must be original and the sole property of the artist submitting the entry; must be sized 11- by 17-inches or smaller; must not use more than four colors; and must include the “33rd annual Christmas Fest.”
