North Baldwin crowns three new queens

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — North Baldwin crowned three new beauty queens at the 5th annual North Baldwin Beauty Review. Twenty-eight contestants took part in the event and winners were selected in three age divisions: elementary, junior high and high school.

Winners are Miss North Baldwin, Kylie Warren; Junior Miss North Baldwin, Ansley Smith; and Little Miss North Baldwin, Ava Grace Mondaca. 

Elizabeth Bridges Byrd, pageant director, said the pageant continues to shine a spotlight on outstanding young ladies in the community. “This year was the fifth year for the North Baldwin Beauty Review and, in my opinion, was the best year yet,” Byrd said. “All the contestants were outstanding. It is great to see their development and growth throughout the week and then to see their final shining moments on stage during the pageant.”

Byrd said the purpose of the pageant is to highlight the beauty, grace and intelligence of the young ladies. “I am excited for the winners and proud of all the contestants. North Baldwin is blessed with active, beautiful young ladies, inside and out.”

Rounding out the top places in each division are Miss North Baldwin: Kylie Warren; first runner-up, Amanda Eversman; second runner-up, Morgan Epperson.

Junior Miss North Baldwin: Ansley Smith; first runner-up, Jordyn Shackelford; second runner-up, Brooklyn Rider; third runner-up, Caroline Dute; fourth runner-up, Christin Watson. Little Miss North Baldwin: Ava Grace Mondaca; first runner-up, Jillian Dute; second runner-up, Caidence Kolbe; third runner-up, Cale Jones; and fourth runner-up, Allison Smith.

The pageant also included several preliminary awards selected by the pageant judges. They included Best Smile winners Allison Smith, Brooklyn Rider and Morgan Epperson; Best Hair winners Caidence Kolbe, Jordyn Shackelford and Kylie Warren; Best Dress winners Marlee Wallace, Mary Kinsley Reed and Amanda Eversman; Most Poise winners Jillian Dute, Madison Hastings and Amanda Eversman.

Other special awards included Miss Congeniality (voted on by contestants) Marlee Wallace, Mary Emma Brooks and Morgan Epperson; Leadership Award winners (selected by pageant officials) Cale Jones, Ansley Smith and Kylie Warren; Most Photogenic (selected by crowd votes) Allison Siggers; Jordyn Shackelford and Amanda Eversman; and Most Sponsorships: Ava Grace Mordaca, Jordyn Shackelford and Amanda Eversman.

Proceeds from the annual pageant benefit the Baldwin County High School Tigerettes and Tiger Guard.
