BAY MINETTE, Ala.—Local novelist Margaret P. Cunningham will be appearing at the Flip Flop Book Club at the Bay Minette Senior Center on Monday, November 8th at 1 p.m. for a reading and book signing. The book club will be reviewing Cunningham's book Lily in Bloom. The program, which is open to the public, is a joint effort between the Bay Minette Public LIbrary and the Senior Center.

Cunningham's short stories have won several national contests and have appeared in magazines and anthologies, including several Chicken Soup for the Soul books. One True Place is Cunningham's second novel, following her enormously successful first book, Lily in Bloom.

Cunningham grew up on her father's nursery in Mobile. She has spent her entire life on Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast where she still lives with her husband Tom. She enjoys writing, reading, gardening and "beaching it" with her family and friends.
