NWS: *Tornado Watch* in effect across region

MOBILE, Ala. — With the approach of a squall line along a cold front, the National Weather Service (NWS) Monday evening issued a Tornado Watch for counties across the coastal Alabama and Florida region. The same watch had been imposed earlier in the afternoon for the entire state of Mississippi.

Here's the full statement from NWS:

Tornado Watch 542 remains in effect until 3:00 am CDT for the following locations (AL) . Alabama counties included are Baldwin, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox.

Florida counties included in the same watch are Escambia, Okaloosa, & Santa Rosa Counties.
