O.B. Lions Club goes for the green

The Orange Beach Lions Club 2012 St. Patrick’s Day Golf Tournament will be held on March 17 at Orange Beach Golf Center. First flight tees off at 8:30 a.m., and the second flight tees off at 1 p.m. Pre-registration forms can be picked up and dropped off at Orange Beach Golf Center, located at 4700 Easy St., the Orange Beach Public

Library or Re/Max Paradise in Orange Beach. Golfers can also register 30 minutes prior to tee time, if space allows. The format for the 18-hole tourney is four-man scramble. The cost is $35 per player, including green fees, cart and catered lunch. Each flight will have its own winners. First prize is $200 in cash. Second prize is $100 in gift certificates to local restaurants. Prizes will also be awarded for: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Aces. The Orange Beach Lions Club, now in its 28th year, meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month at noon at Cobalt Restaurant.
