ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — In an attempt to better meet the needs and hear concerns from businesses, Orange Beach elected officials are hosting two separate Business Town Hall Meetings. Both meetings will be held at Orange Beach Council Chambers on Wednesday, April 21. The first meeting will begin at 8 a.m. followed by an afternoon session beginning at 2 p.m.
Objectives for the meetings will be to open dialogue and lines of communications between the City of Orange Beach and business owners.
“Mayor Kennon wanted to host these meetings in order to interact face to face with the Orange Beach business owners and managers, and answer any questions about the city economy, finances, agenda items, and whatever they want to discuss,” said City Administrator Ken Grimes. “During these tough economic times, we want our small businesses to succeed.”
Both meetings will focus on issues that are important to tourism, service, real estate, retail, banking and other industries that drive the economic engine of Orange Beach.
Business owners are encouraged to bring questions and concerns for the city leaders, and the meetings will be an opportunity for businesses to take an active part in the economic development and city growth.
Efforts are being made through the local Chamber of Commerce as well as through the Orange Beach business council network to contact as many businesses and business owners as possible, encouraging them to attend one of the two meetings being offered.
Any inquiries regarding these meetings can be made by calling Angela Bateman at 251-981-6629.
