ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The Orange Beach Art Center invites children to be a part of the second annual 2009 Summer Arts Camp, to take place June 22-26.

Camp is going to be five fun-filled days of art experiences for the boys and girls.

Drama, dance, music, pottery, musical instruments, painting, sculpture and so much more will be part of the fun.

This year OBAC has professional artists and educators coming to teach the children. In each class, kids will have hands-on fun lessons.

They will dance, sing, push and pull clay, swirl and blend pigments, design and build sculpture.

Art campers will begin at 9 each morning, and rotate their individualized schedule. Camp is over at 3:15 p.m. each day.

Every day’s instruction will build on the day before, as children learn and complete their projects.

The cost of the 2009 Summer Arts Camp is $110. Camp enrollment is very limited so reserve your child’s place early.

For information on enrolling, call the Orange Beach Art Center at (251) 981-2787.

You may also drop by the Art Center, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

OBAC is located at 26389 Canal Road, just west of the Orange Beach Library and before the Kid’s Park.

The 2009 Summer Arts Camp is hosted by the Friends of the Arts, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide financial and volunteer support for the many programs, events and art experiences at the Orange Beach Art Center.
