William Guy “Billy” O’Daniel, 93, a native of Elmore County and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
He retired as the president of First Federal Savings and Loan, Tallassee. He was a member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy O’Daniel of Fairhope; son, Bill O’Daniel of Tallasee; two daughters, Margaret (Lem) Ellis of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Delaney Sue O’Daniel of Chattanooga; stepdaughter, Becky (Tom) Mitchell of Magnolia Springs; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home with the Rev. James W. Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1086, Fairhope, AL 36533.
