Gary Allen Oden, 58, a native of Eva and a resident of Foley, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009.
He was an avid Alabama fan and bowler, as well as loving to deer and turkey hunt.
He served in the National Guard, 711 signal battalion post in Foley for 20 years.
He and his wife owned Twin Creek Short Stop store in Miflin, and was a long time Marine Mechanic.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carole Oden of Foley; daughter, Lacy Oden of Foley; grandson, Elijah Ray of Foley; his father, Ottis Oden of Summerdale; beloved dog, Buddy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 16 at Wolfe-Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
