DAPHNE, Ala.—Expect no lecture or speakers—just a relaxing time getting acquainted with Olde Towne merchants, residents and learning more about the Olde Towne Daphne Association.
The association’s board and members have set an informative evening of fun to showcase the best Olde Towne community offers, according to a spokesperson.
The event is set from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 30 at Uncorked! Fine Wines on Main Street.
Proprietor Keith Rector will pour 12 wines to taste. Wines cost $6 a glass; selected imported and domestic beers are $3.
Chef Will Hughes will be there with appetizers.
Other Olde Towne merchants will be there with coupons, gift cards, menus and information about their services.
The event aims to provide a setting where business owners can meet you.
The OTDA General Meeting is set for 7 p.m. May 12 in the Daphne Public Library. Meetings are approximately an hour.
The group provides an overview of the latest and future issues before the City Council.
City Councilwoman Cathy Barnette and Lon Johnston, Daphne Utilities board member, will make brief monthly reports.
