Hazel Lee Oliphant, 85, a native of Trimble County, Ky., and a resident of Lillian since 2004, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a former longtime resident of Indianapolis, retired from the John Deere Co. and had also worked for the J.I. Case equipment company. She was a longtime member and state officer of the Indiana VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Sadler of San Dimas, Calif., and Terry Sadler of Lillian; brother, Marvin Horine of Rim Rock, Ariz.; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at the Flanner-Buchanan Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Washington Park North Cemetery.
