Be our guest! The Orange Beach Community Theatre presents Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” the Broadway musical Jan. 8-13 at the Orange Beach Event Center.
The production is directed by C. Stefan Morrisette with a cast packed with local talent like Bailey Kennon as Belle, Jeb Smith as Gaston, Caden Blackwell as Lefou and Martin Goodman as Maurice. DeAnn Milly has been hard at work creating beautiful costumes for the costume heavy production.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for more than 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. performances and 1:30 p.m. for the 2 p.m. matinee Jan. 10. The Orange Beach Event Center capacity will be below 50% for each performance following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Tickets are $15 each and are available for purchase at http://our.show/obcommunitytheatre.
Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI - www.mtishows.com.
