Firefighters visit

Preschool children at the Orange Beach Public Library were excited to welcome the Orange Beach Firefighters to story time on Oct.12 as a part of Fire Prevention Week. The theme for 2010’s Fire Prevention Week was “Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!” Firefighter Suzanne Moeller brought along some of her fellow firefighters to meet the children and show how their firefighting equipment works. Above, Firefighter David  Gant shows a heat seeking device to junior firefighters. The children enjoyed inspecting the fire truck and taking turns “driving” the truck. Firefighter Moeller read to the children and presented them with hats and coloring books. For more information on the Orange Beach Public Library or story time call 251-981-2923 or visit the website at www.orangebeachlibrary.org.
