Orange Beach Garden Club offers three great reasons to attend its 34th annual Game Day and Salad Luncheon: food, fun and philanthropy. The club's premier event takes place Feb. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center.
"You can't beat the food. You can't beat the camaraderie. You can't beat the prizes. And you can't beat the ways in which this event gives back to the community," said Garden Club President Virginia Burkhalter.
Attendees will enjoy 50 homemade salads including the event favorite chicken salad and a wide variety of homemade desserts and cookies. Some of the treats will be baked by Orange Beach Expect Excellence culinary students.
Bring your best game face for a friendly exchange of wits at Bridge, Gin, Scrabble, Dominoes and more. Participants are encouraged to put together a group of gamers. For those without a group, there are opportunities to pull up a chair and join an ongoing game.
"Gaming is free for the price of admission and is a participant option that is not required to attend," said Burkhalter.
Game Day also supports:
· The Police Department Benevolent Fund
Tickets to the event are $25 per person and are available for purchase at The Emporium located at 25405 Perdido Beach Blvd, Suite 20, Orange Beach. For more information call 251-979-5308.
