During next Tuesday’s council meeting in Orange Beach, elected official will vote to purchase new sound equipment for council chambers that they hope will solve some audio problems they have experienced in the past.

At issue is the ability to record meetings and review them at a later date.

Mayor Tony Kennon said he had pulled recordings from previous meetings and had difficulty understanding what was being said.

“We really want to address that,” Kennon said.

The new equipment will be purchased from Sound Associates of Theodore, AL, the company that installed sound equipment for the Orange Beach Rec Center.

“It is some good equipment and it is going to make things much easier for people,” Kennon said.
