Due to popular demand, the Orange Beach Public Library is offering more e-Books classes Tuesday, Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. The Tuesday class will introduce CamelliaNet, the library’s free, electronic book catalog and guide users through downloading a book to their electronic reading device. Class attendees need to bring a laptop computer, a compatible e-reading device and the cables necessary to connect the two.
On Feb. 23 will be “Getting to Know Your Kindle.” Although the Kindle won’t work with the library’s downloadable e-books, Kindle owners can still find plenty of free reading material online and enjoy using this popular e-reader. This class will introduce: the difference between using 3G and Wireless, changing font size and page orientation and playing MP3 files.
The Feb. 25 class will be “Special for Nook owners: Nook 101.” Whether you own a Nook WiFi, Nook 3G+WiFi or a Nook Color, knowing the basics can help you make better use of your reader. This class will cover general Nook knowledge, the best features you’ve never used and resetting your device. All three classes are free and open to the public, but seating is limited and registration is required. For more information, see www.orangebeachlibrary.org, or call the library to reserve your seat, 251-981-2923.
