ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The Orange Beach Public Library is gearing up for a big summer program for youth and teens on Thursdays in June with awards given on July 5.
The youth “Dream Big – Read” program will be at 2 p.m. on Thursdays followed by the teen “Own the Night” program at 3 p.m.
On June 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. the 2012 Summer Reading program will kick-off with Charlie Williams the Noise Guy presenting “It Came from the Toybox!” for the youth program.
The Orange Beach Public Library will host fun, action packed library programs, perfect for families looking for something different this summer.
A schedule of the summer’s programs follows:
The schedule for youth programs are June 14 with Mark Seymour and “Be At Your Best” followed on June 21 by Celebrate “The Spirit of African Music” with EKPE
On June 28 Mr. Billy will present “Rock and Roll All Night.”
July 5 will be an awards night.
For the teens, the program opens June 7 with “Sew What” with Ms. Andie followed by “Let’s Get Crafty” with Ms. Meagan and Ms. Patsy on June 14.
On June21 teens will hear “Campfire Stories” with Ms. Lisa and on June 28 “Teen Music Tech” with Mr. Billy.
Registration is free and ongoing at the Library. Stop by the Library at 26267 Canal Road, Orange Beach to register during regular library hours, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The program is funded by the Orange Beach Public Library and the Friends of the Orange Beach Public Library.
