Orange Beach seeking vendors for holiday bazaar

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The city of Orange Beach Parks & Recreation Department is hosting “Gifted — a Holiday Bazaar” and is seeking vendors who would like to sell their wares at this festive, indoor event.

“A few years back the Adult Activity Center hosted a craft fair and market before the holidays and it was always well received. It gave local crafters and artisans the opportunity to share their work,” said Carolyn Vines, Senior Programs coordinator. “This season, we decided to get together a committee with the whole department so it could be a bigger event.”

The market is scheduled to be held at the Orange Beach Recreation Center, 4849 Wilson Boulevard in Orange Beach, on Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Vendors will be allowed to set up the day before. Booth space is $35, with an additional $10 charge if power is required.

Call 251-981-6039 or click obparksandrec.com for more information. All proceeds go to benefit Orange Beach Parks and Recreation programs.

Suitable for artists, crafters and home vendors, the event is open to commercial and home businesses.

“We chose the name ‘Gifted’ for our holiday bazaar, not only because we wanted to evoke the feelings of the holidays, but also, because we feel that the term also describes the talent and caliber of the artisans in the area,” said Angela Bateman, Recreation coordinator. “We hope to have a large showing of gifts, foodstuffs, decorations, art and handmade items to present to buyers for the holiday shoppers.”
