ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- The Sirens of the Sea, a

local ladies Mardi Gras krewe celebrating its 10th anniversary,

held their Queen’s Luncheon honoring Queen Ren White and Emblem

Sally O’ Donnell at Craft Farms on Jan. 21.

Queen Ren, left, and Emblem Sally requested

that their Siren sisters make donations to Mary’s Shelter and the

Siren Scholarship Fund in lieu of queen and emblem gifts. The

Sirens will continue their Mardi Gras season with their annual ball

at the Perdido Beach Resort on Saturday, Feb. 11.

They will parade with the Mystics of Pleasure

in a night parade on Saturday, Feb. 18. On Monday, Feb. 20 past

queens and emblems will participate in a parade at the Wharf.

Then on Tuesday, Feb. 21, look for the

prancing seahorse Emblem’s float and the gorgeous mermaid Queen’s

float in the Gulf Shores morning parade and in the Orange Beach

afternoon parade. For more information, contact Linda Pacatte
