Orange Beach to consider kitchen items for Events Center

Orange Beach, AL. — Tuesday at the Orange Beach City Council meeting, the panel will consider bids for kitchen equipment at the city's Events Center at the Wharf.

Recently, the council received a report from Angela Bateman of the Parks and Recreation Department detailing how all but three weekends between now and Aug. 1 are booked at the center. Orange Beach bought the building in March.

Other items on the agenda include approval of special event liquor licenses for The Wharf and Island House Hotel for Thunder on the Gulf events.

Also, the council may finally authorize the mayor to enter a contract with Hutchinson, Moore and Rauch to update the city's transportation.

To start the meeting, Cheryl Quinn of the Foley Beach Express will give a presentation.
