Orange Beach waitress is Island Spirit Award recipient

The Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce Catch the Island Spirit Committee presented its  award for the month of September to Lyndsay Palamara at Ginny Lane Bar and Grill at the Wharf.

The nomination for Lyndsay stated:

“Lyndsay is not only a great waitress at Ginny Lane Bar & Grill, she loves animals. She took the time to stop traffic on Canal Road to rescue our dog “Buster.”  He had escaped from the fenced yard and was weaving in and out of traffic.

“She took him to work with her and called us to let us know he was safe and where to pick him up. Lyndsay turned down a reward for her efforts and we wanted some way to thank her.

“We thought this would be perfect award to nominate her for to let everyone to know Lyndsay is a very good person to have on the Island and her spirit of community and caring is second to none.”

In addition to a plaque, Lyndsay received an “Island Spirit” lapel pin, a cash award, flowers from Flowers by the Shore, a one night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Orange Beach and a gift certificate from LA Maid Services.

The Catch the Island Spirit Award is presented each month to an individual who works on our island and offers great customer service to our guests or residents.
