The countdown has begun for the area’s newest Walmart Market to open. With construction complete on the new store at 25241 Perdido Beach Blvd., the retailer will now spend the next few weeks transforming the empty building into a Neighborhood Market complete with a full line of groceries and time-saving services. The new store plans to open to shoppers in May.

“We can’t wait to open and offer unbeatable prices and a convenient shopping option for our community,” said store manager Petesy Baker.

Upon its opening, the store plans to employ approximately 90 associates. Many of the newly hired associates are now reporting to work to help prepare the store for its grand opening.

Walmart continues to hire both full- and part-time associates to work in all areas of the new store.
