The Orange Beach area lost power for almost two hours Sunday, with lights
going out a little after 3:30 a.m.
According to Baldwin EMC, the outage was due to transmission problems in
the area, with two substations being affected for unspecified reasons.
The issue was nothing out of the ordinary, according to Baldwin EMC
representative Karen Moore.
"It was a big outage, but I don't know if it was anything specific that
caused it," Moore said.
