The Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce Catch the Island Spirit Committee presented its award for the month of June to Susie Miller with the City of Orange Beach.

The nominations for Susie stated, “Susie Miller is a great person to be considered for the Island Spirit Award.  She has a great attitude and is always very friendly. Even thou Susie lost her youngest daughter in a car wreck; she didn’t let that influence her work or her outlook on life. Susie has been through a lot, but continues to show us what true Island Spirit is every day!”

In addition to a plaque, Susie received an ‘Island Spirit’ lapel pin, a cash award and flowers from Flowers by the Shore. The Catch the Island Spirit Award is presented each month to an individual who works on our island and offers great customer service to our guests or residents.  Do you know someone who deserves this recognition?  Contact the Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce at 251-968-7200.
