Millard Douglas Orem Jr., 82, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
He retired as an aircraft mechanic with Pensacola Naval Air Station and was a veteran of World War II and the Koran conflict having served with the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Lindsey Orem.
Survivors include a son, Millard Douglas “Dee” (Paula) Orem III of Opelika; three daughters, Wanda Lou (Andy) Gorum of Atmore, Patricia Gail Orem of Robertsdale and Vickie Darlene Orem of Troy; and three grandchildren, Lindsey Marie Gorum, William Aaron Gorum and Megan Christine Gorum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
