FAIRHOPE, Ala. - An organic vegetable production workshop from will be held in Fairhope from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29.

The event is supported by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network, according to a news release from the Fairhope-based nonprofit group Local Food Production Initiative.

Topics include organic vegetable production in the backyard, insect and disease identification, pesticide rotation, trap cropping, net house vegetable production, rainwater harvesting and irrigation systems.
