Orlanders Mark Chafin, 51, born in Chatom and a resident of Rabun, died Thursday, May 4, 2012 at his residence.
He was a self employed carpenter.
He is survived by two children, Rachael Ann Simmons Ikner, Semmes, and Shalesta Chafin, Tuscaloosa; his father, Thomas Ephriam Chafin Sr., Rabun; his mother, Landers Marie Hosford, Bay Minette; one brother, Thomas Ephriam Chafin,Jr., Panama City Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Bonita Chafin (Michael) Waddill, Birmingham, and Yolanda Maria Verdugo, Silverhill; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 7 at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial was at Paul Cemetery in Rabun.
