Ormond Kitron “Bud” Cummings, 84, a native and resident of Fairhope, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and honorary graduate of Fairhope High School of 2002.
He was also a member of the Fairhope Chamber of Commerce, Fairhope Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, Fairhope Yacht Club, Fairhope United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #199, and a Mason at Greeno Lodge #598.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne F. Cummings of Fairhope; two sons, Chris Cummings of Gainesville, Fla., and James Frederick of Fairhope; three daughters, Genny Cummings (John) Lasseter of Fairhope, Karen Cummings (John) Miller of Tampa, Fla.; and Elissa F. (Bill) Myers of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at Fairhope United Methodist Church. Graveside services and interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
