Students from South Baldwin Center for Technology traveled to Mobile on March 9th to compete in the Southwest District Skills USA Welding Competition. Students had to perform a number of welding techniques as well as complete a written test as part of their competition. For the second consecutive year, under the direction of Mike Baswell, instructor, South Baldwin Center for Technology brought home 1st and 2nd place awards. In addition, they also captured the 4th place award. These students will now travel to Birmingham in April to compete in the State Welding competition.
