Elizabeth Helen Overbey of Maryville, Tenn., and Matthew Ryan Thomason of Daphne were united in marriage Aug. 15, 2009 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Maryville, Tenn.

The Rev. Howard Eugene Haws officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. James Douglas Overbey Maryville, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Raymond Andrews III of Knoxville, Tenn.

She is a graduate of Maryville High School and the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is a visual merchandiser for Bealls of Florida.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bruce Thomason of Daphne.

He is a graduate of Daphne High School and the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He is a civil engineer with Reynolds, Smith & Hill Inc., Jacksonville, Fla.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, James Douglas Overbey.

Kathleen Overbey Thomas of Brentwood, Tenn., served as matron of honor. Hannah Margretta Millard of Maryville served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Katherine Nicholson of Raleigh, N.C., and Amelia Wilson Smith of Mobile.

James Bruce Thomason of Daphne served as best man. Groomsmen were William Martin Thomason of Daphne, James Alexander Thomason of Daphne and Wesley Ryan Vaughn of Mobile.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Sandra Murphy, organist; Louise Hough, violinist; and Sarah Cline, cellist.

A reception at Butterfly Gap Retreat, Maryville, Tenn., followed the ceremony.

Music/entertainment was provided by the Mo Sol Band of Atlanta.

After a wedding trip to Athens and Santorini, Greece, the couple reside in Jacksonville, Fla.
