Pair of roads in North Baldwin closed due to storm damage

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The Baldwin County Highway Department has announced a pair of road closings on Wednesday, Dec. 30 due to storm damage.

According to press releases issued Wednesday by the Highway Department, Old Jacksprings Road and Splinter Hill Road between Hicks Lane and Chancery Lane are impassable to through traffic until further notice.

Both roads are located near Interstate 65 in North Baldwin County and will be closed until further notice.

There are no residences beyond the impassable portion of Old Jackspirngs Road, which is located off of Rabun Road (Highway 287) south of I-65.

Residents along Splinter Hill Road, located near County Road 47 north of the Interstate, are encouraged to use the suggested detour provided.
