SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Hannah McElroy has a very busy schedule the next few weeks for a 7-year-old, but her mom has no problem shuttling her from engagement to engagement.

The younger McElroy’s festivities begin Monday with Spanish Fort United Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School, followed the very next week by Providence United Methodist Church’s identical program and two weeks later a third round with a different theme at her cousin’s Daphne church.

“I don’t think you have to worry about things being repetitive or (kids) losing interest when it’s Vacation Bible School. It’s all about having fun and really having the Bible taught on their level,” said Glynnis McElroy, Hannah’s mother. A next-door-neighbor provided the invitation to the Providence celebration.

Indeed, McElroy’s consecutive Methodist programs will share the theme “Panda Mania: Because God’s Wild About Us,” but she’s not sure what the late June session in Daphne will offer just yet.

“My aunt told my mom already, but I don’t know. I’m just really happy to be going. I really like the singing,” Hannah McElroy said.
