Parade of Holiday events mark the weekend

A packed schedule of events ring in the holidays this weekend in Baldwin County, with the lighted boat parade on the intracoastal Saturday night, and Christmas parades marching off in Foley, Fairhope, Daphne, Loxley, Lillian, Bay Minette and Orange Beach.

The Town of Silverhill Christmas parade steps off at 6:00 pm tonight.

Bay Minette's Christmas Fest celebration begins today and continues through Saturday.  Foley's famous "Let It Snow" event returns Saturday, an annual delight for children of all ages.  The boat parade is always a hit down at the beaches.

You can also experience a Civil War Christmas at Fort Morgan as interpreters portray the lives of the Confederate garrison through history.  That event also takes place Saturday (4:00 to 7:00 pm, admission charge applies)

Bay Shore Ballet Academy's performances of "The Nutcracker" are scheduled at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm Saturday and 3:00 pm Sunday in Fairhope.

Balmy December temperatures in the 70's are forecast through the weekend here on the Gulf Coast.  ENJOY!
