Hubert G. “Dickey” Parker, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at his residence.

He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Parker, and a sister, Bobbie Parker.

Survivors include six children, Hubert (Jennifer) Parker of Daphne, Dale (Kristie) Parker of Camden, Cathy (Derek) Larkin of Perdido, Leon (Dorothy) Parker of Tuscaloosa, Brandon (Lisa) Wiggins of Saraland and Dixie Parker of Bay Minette; four brothers, Leon Parker of Bay Minette, Jackey Parker of Molino, Fla., Dempsey Parker of Perdido and Joe Parker of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Sheila Cowser, Marie Cook and Melinda Wiggins, all of Bay Minette; 14 grandchildren, five step-sons, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren through his 30-year marriage to Thomasene Parker; and Bo Presley, who was like a son to him.

The family would like to extend a thank you to his friend, Carrie Bell White for her generosity and care during his last days.

Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, June 9 at Norris Funeral Home. Burial followed at White Cemetery in the Dyas community.

Pallbearers were Bo Presley, Barry Demko, Jimmy Miller, Bruce Jackson, Derek Larkin and Joel Johnson.

Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
