Park's chief Branyon wsill abe honored Friday

The Bay Title Foundation will honor Alabama State Park’s Southwest District Superintendent Hugh S. Branyon with a public tree planting ceremony in his honor on Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m. in Orange Beach.

The ceremony will take place at the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, Orange Beach Sportsplex entrance. Branyon has been employed with the Alabama State Parks system for over 40 years.

The public is invited. Local city officials and directors of coastal programs will also be in attendance. Refreshments, conservation information and entertainment will be provided.

The Bay Title Foundation was established in 2006 by Orange Beach residents Dianna and James Wells, owners of Bay Title Insurance. The foundation’s purpose is to educate by providing the tools and support to ensure the preservation and promotion of Alabama’s gulf coast while being pro-growth and pro-development.
