GULF SHORES, Ala. - On June 20, 2012 at 12:47 p.m. GSPD Communications dispatched officers to assist Gulf Shores Fire Department with a swimmer in distress in the 900 block of West Beach Boulevard.
The victim, Michael Thomas Herron, age 36, of Parrish, Alabama was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
