Paul Maxwell Young, 46, born Feb. 25, 1964 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at the residence of his two eldest sons in Mississippi.
He graduated from Clarksdale High School in 1982 and Mississippi State University, where he played football from 1982-1986. He was an All-American player and named Mississippi Player of the Year.
He lived in Foley for the past 10 years. His last employer was Hill Kelly Dodge in Pensacola; Fla. He was a true salesman. His contagious personality touched everyone he met.
His free spirit and love of life will be remembered forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Dawson Young and Ruth Opal Martin Young; and a brother, Richard Young.
Survivors include a daughter Lauren Mackenzie Young of Foley; and her mom, Lisa Moore Young; two sons, Hunter Young and Jacob Young, both of Enid, Miss.; and sister, Sandi (Bill) Hoskins of Welches, Ore.
Funeral services and cisitation were held Friday, Dec. 3 at National Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Miss., with the Rev. Mark Kelly officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
His tie was an MSU tie and his casket and volt were the true Mississippi State Maroon colors. The volt had a plaque with the MSU logo (Bully) that stated “Loving Memories Last Forever.”
