Pauline Salzmann

Pauline Salzmann, 83, a native of Parsons, Kan., and a long time resident of Elberta, died Monday Aug. 9, 2010.

She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She was a cancer survivor, and was very involved in Bosom Buddies (Breast Cancer Survivors); she was also involved in the Baldwin Heritage Museum, and the Elberta VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Salzmann of Elberta; two sons, Gene (Judy) Salzmann and Paul (Kathy) Salzmann of Elberta; daughter, Frances (Bill) Bush of Elberta; sister, Dixie Dugan of South Carolina; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces, other relatives and friends.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday Aug. 12 at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, Elberta. Rosary will be at 8:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
