David Howard Pearson Jr., 85, a native of Birmingham and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009.
He was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church. He retired from Scott Paper Company after 30 years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II and was also a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Atkins of Fairhope and Thomas Atkins of Huntsville; three daughters, Helen Hughes of Dallas, Karlie Poole of Fairhope and Terry McPhail of Foley; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 27 at Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
