Janet Ellen Pearson, 65, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007.
She was a descendant of Roger Williams, who founded the Providence Plantations, which later became the state of Rhode Island. She was born in Providence but spent her early life in Scituate, Mass., and later years in Palatine, Ill. She moved to Fairhope in 1993.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Pearson of Fairhope; four stepchildren; brother, James Egan McInnis of Massachusetts; two nieces, a nephew and their families.
Graveside services and interment were held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
