Peggy Christian Headrick, age 79, a native of Georgia and a resident of Fairhope, Ala., passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
She was an aviator, real estate developer, a restaurant and retail grocery store owner, an accomplished artist, an avid traveler and an award-winning equestrian. She had a real zest for life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Theo and Norine Christian; a brother, Edward Christian, sisters, Barbara Voyles and Ruth Pace.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Headrick; a daughter, Candace H. Johnson both of Fairhope, AL; two sons, Robert A. Headrick, Jr. (Gail) of Mobile, Ala. and Ronald A. Headrick (Leigh) of Jacksonville, Fla.; niece, Sandra; great-niece, Mary; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army.
