PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola Little Theatre’s 2009-2010 Season draws to a close with a family presentation of one of the most beloved stories in English literature.
Lewis Carroll’s novel “Alice in Wonderland” tells the adventures of a girl who falls down a rabbit hole into a magical and sometimes frightening new world.
Pensacola theater guru Dr. Stephen C. Lott wrote and is directing the play. His production will use magic, special effects, trap doors, puppets and a whole troupe of tumblers to create a complete Wonderland experience.
The title role of Alice is played by Treehouse Theatre veteran Caroline Pierce, whose credits include roles in “Go, Dog. Go!,” “The Velveteen Rabbit,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “A Treehouse Christmas Carol.”
Additional cast members are Caroline Bond, Nicolas Burch, Emily Busse, Matthew Carnley, Colton Ca$h, Maggie Crain, Darien DeMaria, Sean Fagan, Sam Holsworth, Alyx Levesque, Lia Malamo, Steven McHaley, Jean-Michel Newburg, Jerod Perez, Michael Smith, Roxie Alyssa Smith, Thomas Summerford, Hanson Thies and Christopher Warren.
The production also features a special guest appearance by Latonya’s Gymnastic Team as the Tumbling Cards.
Performances are Aug. 6-8 and 13-15.
Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees start at 2:30.
Ticket prices are $10, $16, $18 and $20 for adults, and half-price for children age 12 and younger.
A special performance for schools, day cares, camps and church groups is offered on Aug. 12, at 10 a.m., at a cost of $3 per student.
