Pensacola man charged after pedestrians struck at Flora-Bama

ORANGE BEACH, AL – A Pensacola man has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence after two pedestrians were struck on Perdido Beach Boulevard near the Flora-Bama.

The pair were crossing the road just west of the iconic lounge in front of Phoenix X condominiums when they were hit suffering nonlife threatening injuries. Police didn’t identify the couple saying they were a man and woman aged 21 and 23.

The woman suffered a broken pelvis and is likely to be in the hospital a few days. They were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital following the accident.

McNair, 73, may be facing other charges as well stemming from incident, Orange Beach Police said in a release.
